Ascophyllum Nodosum (Kelp)
Ascophyllum Nodosum is a brown seaweed closely related to fucus as part of the Kelp group that growths in coastal ocean waters in the North Atlantic region with unique health and nutritional properties for dogs and cats. It offers unique marine-based compounds not found in terrestrial plants. Kelp is the richest single source of trace minerals and is one of the most nutrient-dense food. Blackcurrant
Blackcurrant is a powerful plant offering a high antioxidant activity. Barberry (Berberis Vulgaris)
Barberry is an herb. The fruit of European barberry is used for kidney, urinary tract, and gastrointestinal (GI) tract health, difficult bowel movement, lack of appetite, liver and spleen health; to promote circulation; to promote the immune system; and as a supplemental source of vitamin C. Boldo is a tree that grows in Chile. Its leaves contain numerous phytochemicals. Phytochemicals are antioxidant compounds found naturally in plants that help maintain and promote heath in both humans and pets. Comfrey (Symphytum Officinale)
Comfrey is a powerful herb. Dandelion
Dandelion, a common herb native to Eurasia, is one of the most complete plant foods on earth. It contains protein (double of what spinach provides), vitamins C, K, D, and B-complex, iron, manganese, phosphorus and many other trace minerals and is a rich source of potassium. It has a whole host of useful health properties: supports urine flow, removes toxins from the body, promotes healthy liver and urinary tract, stimulates appetite, encourages healthy digestion, promotes a better intake and storage of nutrients, promotes bile production, soothes stiff and sore joints, and has astringent properties. Devil's Claw
Originally from southern Africa and Madagascar, Devil's claw (Harpagophytum) is an herb belonging to the sesame family. Chemically composed of several important plant phytosterols, phenolic acids and antioxidant-rich flavonoids Devil's Claw has been used to help joints and connective tissues and to encourage a healthy digestion (well known as a tonic to digestion) and appetite. As part of maintaining a good digestive tract, it has been known to provide help regarding the gallbladder and pancreas. Also called linseed oil, flaxseed oil is derived from the seeds of the blue-flowering flax plant, one of the most powerful plant foods. Hawthorn (Crataegus Species)
Hawthorn possesses unique antioxidant properties and is a well-known heart and vascular tonic. Hawthorn is often essential for the care of the older dog and recommended to maintain a healthy heart of working dog. It is commonly used as a cardiac tonic, as it promotes blood circulation and encourages the transport of nutrients and oxygen throughout the body. It also works to strengthen appetite and digestion. Lavender oil is probably the most recognized oil used for aromatherapy. It is obtained by distillation from the flower spikes of certain species of lavender. Not only does it smell wonderful with a calming effect, but the benefits are immense, including antibacterial properties and promoting the body’s own anti-inflammatory process. Liquorice (Glycyrrhiza Glabra)
Liquorice has been used for centuries for its health benefits that are derived from the root of the liquorice plant. Liquorice is an effective, fast acting body’s own anti-inflammatory promoter. This is primarily attributable to a chemical called "glycyrrhizin" present in the plant. Liquorice has been used to soothe sore and stiff joints, itchy, irritated and sore skin and support and promote a healthy liver, digestive tract, urinary tract and immune system. As a tonic, liquorice can be used to help tone the body and assist recovery where exhaustion has been a problem. Marigold (Calendula)
Marigold is an herbaceous plant that promotes the body’s own anti-inflammatory process, encouraging production of white cells and promoting pets' immune system. Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) - a member of the rose family. Rich in salicylic acid it is well-known for its ability to aid the body’s own anti-inflammatory process but is astringent throughout the digestive tract. Itis soothing and cooling to the stomach. Saccharomyces Cerevisiae
Saccharomyces cerevisiae is a type of yeast that typically grows on hops and is used to make beer. It is a great source of B vitamins, biotin, trace minerals such as zinc, proteins and amino acids. Thanks to its B vitamin complex, it helps support the nervous system, digestive muscles, and keep skin, hair, mouth, eyes, and liver health The amino acids and vitamins can help keep your dog's skin healthy and make its coat shinier. St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum) is a bush with yellow flowers that is native to many different regions of the globe and is an efficient natural soother for injuries in dogs.
